WITH her heart set on a career as a lingerie designer Lyneham’s Lily Voysey has already got one foot on the catwalk.

The 22-year-old student fashion designer in her final year at De Montfort University had her handmade lingerie modelled in the DMU Contour Fashion Show at the Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Garden last week.

She was one of 20 students chosen to showcase their designs in front of buyers and representatives of H&M, M&S, Curvy Kate, Gossard and Coulthards.

“I have lived in Lyneham since primary school as I am from a military family background,” she said, “I did all my secondary school education at Royal Wootton Bassett academy, this was when I discovered my passion for design, particularly fashion based.”

Lily has been on the DMU Contour Fashion Course at the Leicester university following stints as an intern at the fashion firms Fleur of England and Elissa Poppi Latex Lingerie.

She said: “My goal is to land a role within a well known fashion brand, and design for their lingerie department.”
