FOUR teenagers aged from 14 to 16 were arrested in the Valley Road area of Corsham in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They were arrested in connection with enquiries into several offences, including assault causing actual bodily harm, assault of an emergency worker and possession of illegal drugs. All were taken to Melksham custody and held pending further enquiries.

The arrests followed a disorder in the Pickwick Road area of Corsham a few hours earlier.

After Corsham Police posted a message on Facebook regarding the arrests, people were quick to comment on the post demanding to know what teenagers of that age were doing roaming the streets at that hour.

Today (Monday) Wiltshire Police said that a 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a class B drug had been released on conditional bail while a 14-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm had also been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
A  15-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty has been released under investigation, as has a 15-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of common assault on an emergency worker and possession of a class B drug.
