SCORES of runners are expected to be on the start line when the Bishops Cannings 5,000 metres dash is staged on July 13 at 2pm.
The race, which is held as part of the church fete, was first run in 1983 and has attracted a number of celebrity runners including skeleton bob Olympian Shelley Rudman and European 5,000 metre champion the late Bruce Tulloh.
Last year Shelley's daughter Ella Rudman-Bromley, ten, won her class in the Bishops Cannings race 27 years after her mum took the same title.
One of the regular winners has been Simon Nott from Calne.
