CLUBS and organisations offering everything from fitness fun to advice on how to keep your home more secure were out in force in Devizes on Saturday.

Wellbeing Day organised by Devizes Rotary with support from the area board brought together a wide range of activities.

Many of them were aimed at older people but there was also plenty on offer for younger people who were drawn to The Green despite severe showers throughout the morning.

Among those taking part was Devizes Men’s Shed which is a group that brings retired people together to make objects and offer friendship and support.

Also taking part was town councillor Damion Godwin from running club Devizes FIT and Townson training, started by Greg Townson, which offers boot camp fitness.

Devizes U3A also had a stand to advertise its many and varied groups that meet in members’ homes, village halls and community centres so people can socialise and do everything from French conversation and painting to playing table tennis and walking.

One group of members were on hand to show their skill at the game of Mahjong.

Albert Wooldridge from Devizes Mens’ Shed said: “A great day at the Devizes Health and Wellbeing Day held on the small green. Devizes Men’s shed would like to say a Big thankyou to Cliff Evans for making it possible.”
