A BUDDING young author from Corsham has published her first book at the age of nine.

Daisy Lewis penned The Trouble making Triplets complete with illustrations and with the help of Robert her dad, self published the volume with an initial print run of 250 copies.

The story of the troublesome the trio of Freya, Maggie and Sandra will not only entertain Daisy's readers but the town's Oxfam shop has received proceeds from the sales to the tune of £250.

Mr Lewis said: "Daisy initially wrote her book by hand in a note book, and then decided she would like to self publish it, sell it and raise money for charity.

"Daisy set to work typing the book up on to her laptop and then illustrated it all by herself too."

He said she had put her heart and soul into the project having been inspired to become a writer from reading Julia Donaldson and David Walliams.

The town's youngest writer donated the money to Oxfam after hearing about their work with impoverished families around the world.
