POLICE are hunting two hooded men who attacked a teenage boy in Devizes.

The assault happened at 6.15pm on June 4 as the victim was walking along Southbroom Road.

A polices spokesman said: "He was approached by two males who he did not recognise - they assaulted him by punching him and pushing him to the floor.

"The victim sustained bruising and swelling to his face."

PC Reed said: “This incident has understandably been upsetting for the victim and we are continuing with our enquiries to identify those responsible.

“The incident happened during the early evening near to the fire station so it is likely there would have been pedestrians or motorists passing the area who may have seen something which could help us with our investigation.

“The suspects are both believed to be white males, aged around 17-years-old and approximately 5 ft 7 inches tall. They were dressed in black with their hoods up.

“If anyone can help with our enquiries, please get in touch.”
