WILTSHIRE Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Amesbury yesterday.
At approximately 11.10am on Tuesday, a disorder occurred in Flower Lane, near to Salisbury Road.
Two men were involved in a confrontation which resulted in a 19-year-old man being assaulted.
When an officer attended the scene, she was assaulted, and sustained reddening to her head.
A 37-year-old man from Salisbury was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a constable and assault by beating.
He was taken into custody and has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
