Crowds gather at Avebury for the summer solstice
DUE to the hundreds of people who descend on Avebury for the summer solstice traffic restrictions will be in place.
Residents needing to park on the affected roads or requiring access to the High Street will need to collect a permit from a drop-in session. The first is at Elements of Avebury in Green Street today (Thursday, June 6) from 5.30-7pm. The second session is on Wednesday, June 12, from 7-8.30pm at the same location. Bring proof of address and your car registration number.
Visitors should use the National Trust car park off A4361 just south of the stone circles. Solstice this year will be sunrise on Friday, June 21.
