A TEAM member from a Chippenham and Melksham opticians ran the Simplyhealth Great Bristol 10k on Sunday, May 5, to raise money for Fight for Sight.
The route took Magda Everett, who works at Specsavers on Borough Parade and Bank Street, on a run with a view, past the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge.
Magda Everett said: "It was a challenging run but I’m the feeling at the finish line was absolutely worth it.
"I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored me to run for this great cause.
"I wanted to get back into fitness and am a keen runner, so the 10k was the perfect opportunity.
"Choosing to support Fight for Sight was important to me as the charity carries out valuable research to prevent sight loss, which is at the heart of everything we do here at Specsavers."
Fight for Sight is the UK’s largest charity helping people who are living with eye conditions by finding new treatments to treat and prevent sight loss funding over 160 research projects.
