On Friday 24 May the RNA had their annual trip to West Overton to pay their respects to Marine John Chivers, who served with Admiral Nelson on HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and is buried there.
As well as tidying the plot the branch, now under the Command of Shipmate Pete Francis, raised a Tot of Pussers Rum to his memory.
The Marlborough RNA are always on the lookout to recruit new Full and Associate Members, from current or ex-members of any of the Armed Forces. If interested please pop along to one of our meetings held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at the White Hart, Marlborough at 8pm.
