THIS year's Chippenham Carnival is up and running after a recruitment campaign for the next carnival queen last Saturday.
Chippenham Connected who work in partnership with the town council held a recruiting event at the Emery Gate Shopping Centre.
Organiser Kathryn Crosweller said they had a good number of entries for carnival royalty with more young children coming forward.
To become part of the carnival royalty party children and teenagers should fill in a form on the carnival website.
The event on Saturday, July 13, has a Lost in Space theme.
