STROKE survivors are getting back on track by a rehabilitation charity that helps people get the physical and emotional help they need to live with the disability. Back On Track Stroke Rehab Service has been given £10,000 by Chippenham Borough Lands Charity. Beverley Pace from Back On Track said: "This grant allows us to increase the amount of therapy we can offer and will improve the recovery time for our clients."
Every day in Wiltshire approximately 2-3 people will suffer a Stroke, 1/3 will have speech difficulties and there are over 9,000 people in Wiltshire living with the effects of a Stroke.
Katie Bradbury of the land charity added: "They provide a lifeline to local Stroke Survivors and I was completely blown away by the supportive and positive ‘can do’ attitude of everyone involved."
