CALNE'S traffic stopped this morning as a white horse drawn funeral carriage made its way through the streets to the parish church for the funeral of Ellie Gould, 17.
Two horses, one black and one white pulled the carriage carrying the brightly decorated coffin with images of horses running free on it and topped with white lilies and roses to the church.
Fellow Hardenhuish school students had gathered at the church with friends, familiy and members of the public to pay their respects to Ellie who died on Friday, May 3.
Under a grey and overcast sky the town seemed in a fittingly sombre mood for this most saddest of events.
