BRONZE age art has inspired a unique art exhibition opens at Wiltshire Museum.
The museums own Bronze Age gold lozenge, found in a burial site near Stonehenge, influenced contemporary artist Ann-Marie James and her new work ‘Alchemy – Artefacts Reimagined’. she has delved into the collections of its four partners - Wiltshire Museum, The Salisbury Museum, Poole Museum and Dorset County Museum for the new artworks.
All finished pieces will be displayed alongside museum objects.Ann-Marie’s techniques included painting, gilding, printmaking, using rubber stamps and even shaving designs into rugs.
