ENTRIES are open for the 10th annual May Mile in Chippenham, when youngsters of all ages will race round the playing fields at Hardenhuish and Sheldon schools in Chippenham.

"It's amazing really that we have reached the 10th anniversary," said organiser Zoe Rucker. "It's been so inspirational to see runners who started this as primary school children getting into the sport and progressing to club level and beyond, and they still come and run here every year.

"This year we will have the Howarth brothers, who ran here as children and are now GB athletes, at the start to encourage the younger ones."

This year's race is on Sunday, May 19, with registration from 10am and the first race, for five years and upwards, at 11am, followed by a series of age group races.

You can enter in advance by going to www.maymile.co.uk, or on the day.
