CHARITY supporters had their cake and ate it raising £650 at a special coffee morning at Rick Stein Marlborough to support patients with severe eating disorders.

The restaurant group hosted the event on March 30, in aid of Cotswold House – the 12-bed specialist inpatient unit run by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Members of the public were encouraged by the restaurant to nominate a local charity and Cotswold House, at Savernake Hospital, was selected after receiving multiple nominations.

Becky Deane, an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor at Cotswold House said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the response from the good people of Marlborough who came out and supported us. It’s a fantastic achievement to have raised so much in such a short time and in such an enjoyable way.

“The coffee and cakes were delicious, so our heartfelt thanks go to the Rick Stein team. The money raised for our will really make a huge difference for our current and future patients who are battling eating disorders.”
