Beer festival
CHIPPENHAM: North West Wilts CAMRA is holding a beer and cider festival in the The Olympiad Leisure Centre on April 26-27. Tickets from their website at www.nwwiltscamra.org.uk
Scarecrows
DERRY HILL: There is a scarecrow trail and competition organised by the pre-school on April 27. It runs from 10am-4pm, with lots of prizes in the raffle including tickets to Bowood House and Gardens.
Equestrain plan
GRITTENHAM: Alison Haskins of Brook Stud, Sodom Lane, has asked planners for a change of use from agriculture to equestrian with the creation of a riding arena and associated buildings.
Signs removed
CORSHAM: Vandals have ripped down and removed No Cycling signs belonging to the council from a public path at Pickwick damaging the mountings on March 30.
Floral crime
CHIPPENHAM: A man from Goatacre was arrested and charged with the theft of two crates of flowers from a florist in the High Street on April 3. He will appear in Swindon court on May 8. The flowers were recovered and returned to the shop.
