Devizes & District Motor Club achieved third place in the national Motorsport Club of the Year 2018 competition organised by Motorsport UK, the sport’s governing body.

The Club was presented with the award and a cheque for £500 by Cheryl Lynch, an executive at Motorsport UK, who told club members that the award was “richly deserved”. The award was handed over at the Club’s April meeting at the Crown in Devizes. Club chairman Keith Edwards said “It is encouraging that the activities of the Club have been recognised, particularly our work with young drivers and engagement with the local community.

"We have supported Wiltshire Air Ambulance for a number of years with fundraising activities and we were very pleased to present them with a cheque for £1,500 last September.”
