A NEW Carers' Cafe has started in Chippenham Community Hospital where carers can meet regularly.
The first one was on Tuesday, March 26, in the Grapevine Restaurant at in the hospital and will continue to run on the last Tuesday of each month from now on from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Judy Walker, chief executive of Carer Support Wiltshire said: “Our Reaching Communities Team, Community Connectors and Support Workers work out in our communities with GPs, hospitals and other organisations identifying carers and helping them to access the support and information they need.
"Working in the community hospitals with Wiltshire Health and Care means we can help connect more carers with appropriate support services.”
The first cafe was very successful with a number of carers able to chat and get support from Carer Support Wiltshire.
The care organisation are behind an information service for carers to provide them with information and advice.
