LIFEGUARD courses will be run at St Mary’s Calne Sports Centre this summer giving applicants the chance to become qualified with a nationally recognised certificate.

The week-long National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with additional AED and Anaphylaxis modules will run from the week beginning July 29, 2019.

The NPLQ is the most awarded qualification in the United Kingdom and is a recruitment requirement for a number of jobs within the leisure industry. This course enables candidates to become a fully qualified lifeguard and students will learn CPR, rescue techniques, first aid including AED and Anaphylaxis as well as lifeguarding health and safety.

The NPLQ course is open to anyone aged 16 or over and costs £230 (which includes all course materials).To apply for a place on this course, please pick up an application form from the Centre, or download an enrolment form from our website www.smcsports.co.uk and email it to sportscentre@stmaryscalne.org.
