PUPILS of Lavington School will be among friends when they visit the theatre in Devizes on April 24 as the school has bought out every seat for that night’s performance of Things I Know To Be True.

The play is part of drama GCSE/A level syllabus so they are taking the opportunity to see a live performance.

Andrew Bovell’s play will be at The Wharf theatre from April 22 to April 27 under the direction of Freddie Underwood.

It is described as an inspirational compliment of text and movement and had its premier in 2016.

Things I Know To Be True is a portrait of marriage and family as seen through the eyes of four siblings, Pip, Mark, Ben and Rosie, all of whom have their own struggles and secrets.

Bob and Fran Price have worked hard to give their family all of the opportunities they never had and now, with their children ready to fly the nest, it should be their time – a time to sit back and smell the roses.

It is a play that is as beautifully funny as it is touching as it tells the story of all the many different facets of family life.

But a change of season brings some shattering truths as reality is tested and lives are redefined.
