SCORES of pupils from a school near Devizes put on their dancing shoes to entertain an audience with a wide variety of styes.

The children from Dauntsey's School, West Lavington put on a display to showcase 22 different performances drawn from its many dance lessons and clubs as well some that form part of exam syllabus.

Emily Wilkins, teacher of dance at Dauntsey’s said: “Parents, teachers and pupils were all amazed by the enthusiasm of the dancers and the professionalism with which they took to the stage.

“It is wonderful to see dance continuing to thrive at Dauntsey’s – for both boys and girls.”

Almost 100 students took to the stage during the show. Included was a performance by GNI, a boys-only dance group and Dauntsey's Dance Company the senior dance group which impressed with their athleticism and versatility.

There are many opportunities to enjoy dance at Dauntsey's and classes are open to all pupils, both boys and girls, experienced dancers and those who are new to this discipline.

Dance clubs include street, musical theatre, jazz, ballet, cheerleading, contemporary and tap and cater for beginners to experts.
