Dauntsey’s rugby team won an exciting semi-final against Hayes School to secure their place in the National Vase Final at Twickenham.
The semi-final, played at Saracens’ ground, Allianz Park, saw Hayes take the lead in the first half but Dauntsey’s managed to build pressure in the second half and were three points down going into the final ten minutes.
A try scored by Dauntsey’s in injury time secured them a 24-22 win and a place at Twickenham.
The Final will be played against Samuel Whitbread Academy, kicking off at 2pm on Saturday (March 21).
Marcus Olsen, Director of Sport, Dauntsey’s said: “Securing a place in the final is a great achievement for the team and represents an enormous amount of hard work and commitment by the whole squad.
“Scoring a winning try in injury time demonstrates the sheer grit and determination of the team.
"Bring on the final.”
