SWINDON Croquet Club is gearing up for the 2019 season and is aiming to build on last year’s major successes, not only in a competitive sense but also through its charitable fundraising and its continued support of the community. Year on year the Club has beaten its previous fundraising efforts and, in 2018, was able to present £507 to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

In addition to charitable fundraising, the Club supports the community via provision of specialist equipment which enables disabled and partially sighted to play and has developed a strong link with Swindon Football in the Community Extra Time (people aged 60+).

Club members enthusiastically play both Association rules croquet and Golf croquet, socially and competitively. 2018 was the Club’s most successful Golf croquet season ever, with the team becoming proud Champions of the Northern Division.

The Club is based at Moredon Playing Fields, Cheney Manor and boasts 3 full, immaculately maintained lawns and modern, fully equipped clubhouse. The Club is Sports England accredited and holds the Clubmark.

The 2019 season begins in April, if you are interested in giving croquet a try please contact John Airey on 01793 873026 for further information. You are guaranteed a warm welcome at the Club.
