A CHIPPENHAM man appeared in court accused of breaking his partner’s jaw and eye socket.

Raymond Dagostino, 34, of Pavely Close, denies inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

He is said to have punched his girlfriend three times in the face during a domestic dispute.

Dagostino appeared in the dock at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning dressed in a dark hooded top and held his head in his hands as prosecutor Graham Dono set out the charges.

The Chippenham man pleaded not guilty to the assault charge.

Magistrates bailed him to appear before Swindon Crown Court on April 12.

Under his bail conditions, Dagostino must not contact his girlfriend or her mother, visit her home town of Melksham, and obey a curfew to his home address between 9pm-4.30am during the week and 7pm-7am at weekends.
