Weekend concerts
MARLBOROUGH: The Swindon Choral Society will perform Dvorak Te Deum and Brahms Requiem in Marlborough College Chapel at 7.30pm on Saturday, March 16, with American Soprano soloist, Leigh Michelow. On Sunday March 17 at 7.30pm, at St Peter’s Churc, there is a concert of piano music by Ryan Drucker. Tickets from the White Horse Bookshop and Sound Knowledge or on the door.
Car boot back
PEWSEY: The first Bouverie Hall car boot sale of the season is this Sunday, (March 10). It will run on every second Sunday of the month through to October starting at 9.30am. Book spaces from the clerk of the parish council.
Ash Wednesday
West Overton: A service for school children was held in West Overton church on Ash Wednesday, where the Rev’d Maria Shepherdson gave an thought-provoking talk.
Airfield hangar
UPAVON: Planners have given the lift off for the airfield to build a new glider hangar on the south side of the field.

OARE: An external elevator has been given the green light by planners for Oare House in Rudge Lane.
