A YOUNG rugby player with a tremendous fear of heights will brave a 13,000ft skydive to raise money for his club.

Ricky Coe will jump out of a plane with his supportive sister Emmie next month over Netheravon, with family, friends and fellow rugby players watching from the ground.

Their dad Dennis said: "I'm massively proud of both of them. Nothing fazes Emmie but Ricky really hates heights - we went to look at the Shard in London once and he felt dizzy just looking up at it - but he's dedicated to his club, he wants to help the lads out and conquer his fear.

"Rugby is his passion, it's his life, he's dedicated to the team and he sees his future in it. Jonny May once played for Bassett and now plays for England, so who knows?

"Emmie helps out in any way she can, even though she won't benefit from this. She's followed Ricky from day one and organised events, she's lovely and everyone likes her."

Money raised will go towards the fund for the Royal Wootton Bassett Under-16s upcoming rugby tour in Dublin, assorted equipment, and covering costs in case one of the players can't afford a place or an expensive piece of kit.
