POLICE search dogs have helped a forensic investigation near Highworth today.

A number of officers with sniffer dogs helped scour the field near Pentylands Lane this afternoon.

Some were seen cutting back vegetation to get access to a wooded area next to the field.

Forensic experts were also spotted entering a tent erected in the field this morning.

Wiltshire Police said it was "keeping an open mind" as to whether the investigation relates to the murder of Linda Razzell.

The mum of four from Highworth went missing in 2002 on her way to work at Swindon College.

Her husband Glyn Razzell was convicted of her murder in 2003 and sentenced to life in prison.

The 41-year-old's body has never been found.
