Lit Fest decade
MARLBOROUGH: Organisers of the town's Lit Fest this September say they will be celebrating a 10 years of the event. It will run from September 26-29 and features Man Booker Prize-winning author, Ben Okri talking about his latest novel, The Freedom Artist, on September 27.
Heavens above
AVEBURY: Photographer and author Robert Harvey has announced his forthcoming book to be published this spring. Photographing the Heavens: Images of Earth and the Universe, is a guide to taking pictures of the night sky on a digital camera and lenses.
Home extension
GREAT BEDWYN: A two storey extension is planned by Mr & Mrs J Spring at their home at Oak Lodge, Wilton Road in the village.
Swimming plan
WILTON: A planning application has been made by Alex Thompson for the construction of a swimming pool at Highfield House in Hollow Lane in the village.
Slovenia prayers
BURBAGE: There is a special service at All Saints Church on Friday, March 1, at 2pm, as part of World Prayer Day. The theme will be prayers for Slovenia. All welcome.
