THE Cherished Vehicle and Family Fun Day has a new venue and new sponsor this year.

Organised by the Chippenham Lions, the Fun Day on Sunday June 2 will take place on the fields of M4 Karting with support from Barratt Homes.

Ian Gilbert, leader of the event, said: “The number of visitors turning out to see us increases year-on-year, and we’re growing in size - so it’s great that such a well-known company is supporting us.”

The event will feature more than 300 cherished cars, as well as a performance arena, a fairground, local produce, craft and trade stands. All funds raised go to Lions charities.

Andrea Pilgrim, sales director from Barratt Homes, added: “We’re building new homes here in Chippenham at our Birds Marsh View development, and are proud to be a part of the local community.

"This is an excellent opportunity for visitors to the event to get up and close to some beautiful vehicles and to have a great family day out. The Cherished Vehicle and Family Fun Day is held annually and is extremely popular here, and this year promises to be bigger and better than ever. We’re delighted to be involved.”
