GENEROUS Amber Kilmister had her incredible long blond hair chopped off on Saturday as a gift for the Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their own hair due to illness.

Amber, aged eight, from Pewsham also raised £850 in sponsorship for the charity when she had 24 inches of hair cut off by Emma Baker of Salon Secrets in Chippenham.

The Ivy Lane pupil has been growing her hair since she was a baby - only ever having it trimmed. She loved her long locks, but wanted to be able to help others who aren't able to have hair like herself.

Mum Kerry said: "Amber is absolutely loving her new hair style. I was surprised, as she never showed any nerves about it - and was grinning throughout the haircut. I'm getting used to it now. She does look super cute, and has done it for such a great cause.

"She's still planning to grow her hair again, for another donation in the future."
