Entries are open for the third Chippenham Soapbox Derby
THRILL seekers take note - entries are now open for Chippenham's third Soap Box Derby.
The mad dash down the High Street will take place on Sunday May 19 from 12noon to 4pm, when hand-made, non-power assisted karts will manoeuvre the course past crowds of spectators and businesses, negotiating obstacles and ramps.
Entry is in advance only, with a senior class for drivers aged 14 years plus and a junior class for drivers aged eight to 13, with six trophies up for grabs. Kart inspection is from 10am in the Market Place with races beginning promptly at 12 noon.
