NO more tea and cakes for Lilies Tea Room, which will be closing its doors for the last time at 3pm on February 28 after three and a half years.
Hazel Dean opened the tea room in Chippenham's Borough Parade in August 2015, as an independent eaterie.
"Starting from scratch as an independent eatery on the high street was an enormous risk," she said. "We marketed ourselves as a tea room to be different, because that is what we are, we have charm, individuality and character. We give everyone the time of day, we make them feel important, because they are!"
Sadly Hazel's relationship broke up in December 2016.
"My daughter also gave me the most outstanding support over this time and whilst I faced the sadness bestowed upon me, she became even more of a presence in the shop than I was for a while," Hazel said.
"Building and running an amazing team that gave exceptional customer service is not always an easy task. But I was blessed with wonderful ladies that shared my desire to deliver such service – they will always be ‘Lilies Ladies’ to me."
The tea room will be closing due to the lease expiring.
"I would like to share great thanks from the bottom of my heart, to my whole team and to all those that have supported Lilies over this time," she added.
