CANALS are topic for half term activities at Chippenham Museum and the Yelde Hall next week.
A canal-themed trail will be free for visitors to explore all through half term, and two special Canal Days will be held at the medieval Yelde Hall on Tuesday 19 and Thursday February 21, from 10.30am to 12 noon, and 1pm till 2.30pm.
You can meet the volunteers from the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust, learn about the old canal networks and have a go at lots of free activities to celebrate Chippenham’s local canal. The trust has dredged some 1200 metres of canal at Pewsham, and its current projects include the restoration of Pewsham Top Lock.
