The Jobs in Care Roadshow has hit the road in a bid to find at least 50 new care staff across Wiltshire.

With the rising demand for home care, the Jobs in Care Roadshow is travelling the county to connect jobseekers with the opportunities available. The Roadshow is hosted by First City Nursing and Care, working together with Wiltshire Council, Age UK Wiltshire, Proud to Care Wiltshire, the Care Skills Partnership and charity Friends of First City.

Jobseekers can hop on the bus in The Market Place, Devizes from 9.30am until 3.30pm on Wednesday (13 February) to find out more about the vacancies available. No previous care experience is needed, just the passion to help people live their lives in the way they want. Roles on offer include nursing home staff, support workers, specialist nurses, care assistants and home care assistants.

First City Nursing and Care has offices in Chippenham and Salisbury. The company provides full training as well as flexible roles.

David Trowbridge, Director of First City Nursing and Care in Wiltshire said: “We’re looking for people with a passion to help others who want to consider a career in care. We have a number of positions available, all offering a range of different hours and responsibilities, which would be ideal for those looking for a flexible job to work around other commitments or for the first step into the industry or back into work.

“The care industry is a very rewarding one and to see our customers make progress every day gives us a lot of satisfaction. For some of our customers, the visits our care staff make are the highlight of their day and you know you’re making a real difference to someone’s lives by helping them achieve their goals, which could be as simple as making a cup of tea on their own.
