RAMSBURY may not be the largest village in Wiltshire but it now has its own bishop.
On January 25, the new Bishop of Ramsbury was ordained by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Southwark Cathedral .
The Rt Revd Dr Andrew Paul Rumsey, has become the 17th Bishop to hold the ancient title dating to 909 and the sixth Bishop of Ramsbury since it came back into use in the 1970s.
He will have responsibility mainly for the Wiltshire parishes in the Diocese of Salisbury. Bishop Andrew will share the ministry and mission across the Diocese with the Bishop of Salisbury and the Bishop of Sherborne.
