A WORLD record attempt to gather the most Daleks together in one place will happen at the Olympiad in Chippenham on Sunday March 10, prior to a celebration of all things Dr Who called The Gathering.

The current record, which has not been broken since 2008, stands at 95 Daleks - which all assembled at the National Space Centre in Leicester. Now the Sons of Skaro, made up of Doctor Who Fans who have made their own daleks, are organising The Gathering, raising funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity and Julia’s House Children’s Hospice in Devizes

The count will take place at 9.30am, before the doors open to the public at 10am, so the number of Daleks can be verified. The sixth Dr Who Colin Baker will head the guest list at the event, which will also include cosplay, competitions, guest talks and trade stands. Two Daleks will also visit Chippenham's Emery Gate shopping centre on Saturday March 2 from 10am to 4pm to promote The Gathering. For information and tickets, visit sonsofskaro.com.
