FOLLOWING a lively council debate over where a memorial plaque for Pelham Puppets will go, Marlborough Town Council have invited expert David Leech to unveil a blue plaque at 1-2 Kingsbury Street.
However a rival expert on the former puppet maker Bob Pelham says the plaque is being placed on the wrong building as it should go on number three.
Lars David Beavan said he will not attend the unveiling on February 28, when Mr Leech will unveil the plaque and speak at the reception afterwards in the town hall. The town council said the blue plaque will be placed as close as possible to the original address of the puppet workshop.
