DEVELOPERS made a donation of £500 towards a defibrillator for the new housing development at Bowood Gate in Derry Hill.
Crest Nicholson made the grant to Derry Hill and Studley Heartbeat, which provides, maintains and supports defibrillators, towards the £2000 needed for the unit.
“When someone suffers a cardiac arrest, every minute’s delay in restarting the heart results in a reduction of around seven per cent in the chances of survival," said committee member John Baumber. "We hope this contribution will encourage other local businesses to support this cause”
