THE pre-school held in the village hall in Great Bedwyn is seeking more children so as to keep the facility going.

It has been running for over 40 years although in recent years the group is up against the rise of private nurseries and pre-schools said the leader Pauline Perry.

Run as a non-profit making charity the group employs qualified staff managed by Michelle Groves with a group of parents on the committee to oversea fundraising events including quiz nights and raffles.

Open in term time only the pre-school for the over twos the group runs from Monday to Friday opening from 8.30am to 3.30pm. There is an enclosed garden at the back with play equipment plus the children sometimes go for organised walks such as one to feed a local horse.

The pre-school has a close relationship with Great Bedwyn and St Katharine’s Primary Schools said Pauline, helping to ease the transition to the children start school with confidence.

Pauline said their aim is to provide the best in class pre-school education.
