Pavilion bid
AVEBURY: The community has secured £5,000 from Wiltshire Council for a new cricket pavilion. The cash will be ringfenced until the village is ready to proceed with the project and raised more funds.
New blinds
MARLBOROUGH: The scouts have been awarded £1,338 towards new blinds for the scout hut. The money will come from County funds for youth projects.
Lock restoration
LITTLE BEDWYN: Potter's Lock on the Kennet and Avon Canal is being renovated with work due to end next week. The lock has been damned, and the gates and brickwork and being repaired.
Celtic music
GREAT BEDWYN: St Katherine's Church will be holding a special Celtic Evensong on St David's day on March 3, at 6pm.
First responder
BURBAGE: At their January meeting parish councillors agreed there was a need for a First Responder in the area. It's hoped a talk will be given about it at the May meeting.
Heritage Centre
PEWSEY: The Pewsey Heritage Centre will re-open on Saturday March 30. Special events are being planned.
