AROUND 100 people came together in Potterne village hall just outside Devizes to celebrate Burns Night.

The fundraising event included a three-course dinner and entertainment to help raise support for Potterne Youth Centre.

A team of teenagers, supported by Wiltshire YFC community youth worker Steve Dewar and members of the youth centre committee, helped to serve all the guests and keep spirits high.

One young resident, Bethany Hollow, was nominated and presented with the Angie Gale Memorial Award to show the contribution she makes to community life in the village.

Bob and Gill Berry provided some folk entertainment at the event on January 26, along with local young singer Emily Beattie singing a solo.

The annual event is hoping to raise £1,000 to help keep the community-run youth centre going and to sustain the facility for generations to come.
