DURING a visit by the MP Claire Perry to Kennet Valley School two of the school governors explained why they had chosen to give up their time for support the school.
Simon Jones is a self-employed builder with children at the school and has been a governor for three years and co-chair for a few months. As a foundation governor he has strong links to the local church.
He said: "You are a governor until you become part of the family which is the school which is a pleasure and no chore."
Governor Sarah Tillvatier has no children at the school but with an interest in special needs education is a valuable asset.
