WHO should be allowed to go to Marlborough's St John's school was debated by town councillors last week.
The Town Clerk Shelley Parker said the council was asked to comment as it was thought it was appropriate.
The Mayor Cllr Lisa Farrell said there had been a battle in the past when siblings didn't automatically go to the same school.
Cllr Susie Price said she was disappointed that it was the policy of the school there was no automatic entries for siblings into the school or into the sixth form.
Cllr Harry Forbes said the council should leave it to the school to decide.
The council agreed to note the consultation.
