New wetland
FROXFIELD: Action for the River Kennet has requested planning to create a new wetland comprising a channel, small pools and damp grassland. A boardwalk and pond dipping platform with handrail constructed from dark brown recycled plastic will enable people to access and enjoy the site at Froxfield Meadow, Bath Road.
Demolish plan
BURBAGE: Planners have received an application from Robert Randall to replace a bungalow with a two storey house with detached garage. The property is at Mount Pleasant, 58 High Street.
Drugs arrests
UPAVON: On Thursday, January 17, three men were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs after their car was stopped in Upavon near Pewsey by officers suspecting the car was carrying drugs.
Pub opportunity
SHALBOURNE: A brewery is looking for a new tenant for the village pub. The Plough Inn needs a new ‘business partner.’
