OVERNIGHT snow has brought disruption to the Devizes area this morning with both senior schools and many primary schools closed and some roads in a treacherous condition.
Both Devizes School and Lavington School are shut but pupils at Lavington sitting a health and social care exam have been told to report as usual.
Most town primary schools and those in surrounding villages are also closed with parents advised to visit school websites or social media feeds to double check.
The road from All Cannings to Alton Barnes is reported as particularly bad and the temporary traffic lights at Prison Bridge, Devizes were stuck on red at about 8am this morning.
Further updates and pictures to come. If you witness a particularly bad stretch of road or other snow related incident in the Devizes area email jmooore3@gazetteandherald.co.uk
