DUNKIRK Hill in Devizes has closed following an accident involving a car and a pedestrian earlier this morning.
Police say the road is likely to be closed for several hours after the accident which happened at 8.45am.
A police spokesman said: "The male pedestrian is believed to have suffered serious injuries. A road closure has been put in place at the Cross Keys in Rowde and the top of Dunkirk Hill.
"As a result, traffic is likely to be heavy in Devizes while we deal with this incident. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
"The closure is likely to remain in place for several hours."
