Don your pirate hat and get ready for a night of swashbuckling as the Cherhill Village Theatre opens its pantomime Treasure Island at Cherhill Village Hall tomorrow night (January 25).

Complete with pirates, a mighty galleon, scurvy crew, parrot and, of course, plenty of treasure, this is a traditional pantomime for all the family.

The story opens when young Jim is given a treasure map by a stranger. They sail in the Hispaniola to search for the treasure with a less than competent crew, having many exciting adventures on the way. But as with all pantomimes, good wins over evil and all ends happily.

Tomorrow's show begins at 7.30pm.

Cherhill Village Theatre has been running for 30 years, providing community-based amateur dramatic activities for all ages and abilities.

Further performances will take place on Saturday, January 26 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm, Friday, February 1 at 7.30pm and Saturday, February 2 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

The show is suitable for all ages, and tickets are £7 for adults and £5 for children. To book, call 07981 187299 or 01249 814979.
