MARLBOROUGH Folk Roots have announced a new set of concerts in the town with the first taking place next month.

The guitarist and song writer Steve Tilson will take to the stage at St Mary’s Church Hall in Silverless Street on Saturday, February 16th, at 8pm.

He will accompanied by Hugh Bradley on double bass in the first of this year’s programme which includes Urban Folk quartet on April 18, and Show of Hands in May on the 11th.

The folk roots organisation said that since 1999 they have put on more than 100 concerts in a range of venues in and around the town. They do not receive sponsorship but run with the goodwill of their members and friends.
