VOLUNTEERS from HEALS (Help Empowerment and Local Support) of Malmesbury served Christmas lunch for local people, with the help of a £150 donation from Cotswold-based firm McGills Chartered Accountants.

HEALS of Malmesbury provides support for people in Malmesbury and the surrounding villages who are vulnerable or disadvantaged. More than 90 people attended the Christmas lunch at Malmesbury Town Hall.

The grant for the Malmesbury Christmas lunch on December 21 came from its Community Activity Fund, which the business launched in 2018 to help fund activities for the local community.

Simon Nuttall, a partner at McGills, said: “We are delighted that the lunch was such a success and that so many people were able to attend. At McGills Chartered Accountants, we are committed to supporting the local community in and around Malmesbury and we are pleased that we have been able to make a difference."
